President: Gary Sturgill Howdy everyone, Can you believe this wonderful weather we are having? This is perfect for getting out and finding some of that yeller stuff. We have some outings this month to Seven Feathers, sign up to go if you can fit it into your schedule. We are working to get the pump permits for high banking/power sluicing , we should have our club permit shortly. Touching base on the Gold pan Racing, there is one requirement for modified motorized pans. "Some part of the pan MUST be touching the water when it floats". You cannot just glue a pan on top of something motorized. Sorry guys, time to glue it to the bottom :). Our guest speaker this month is "Weasel" from Camp, we will be presenting them with a check, and anyone who wants to attend the camp this year needs to fill out a background check form at the meeting. We will also have a sign-up sheet for the attendees. If you have never been to the camp, take this great opportunity to check out where all this money we raised is going, and have a awesome time panning with the kids. It is a time to be themselves and to share in a variety of summer camp activities, such as hiking, fishing, archery, swimming, arts and crafts, horseback riding, and many other surprises. The goal of this weeklong adventure is to provide these children with a camping experience that can be extended into their everyday lives.See their home page HERE |
